Crimping Tool Ft-45 Feedthru Modular Plug

Dont let its size fool you. The NEW FT-45 is a simple, compact and highly effective modular plug crimp tool for installers and techs that terminate RJ-45 connectors regularly. Instead of another traditional oversized, heavy, crimp tool style loaded with features that are rarely used or that just dont work well, we took this tool in a new direction. Its built for today and tomorrow, not the past. The versatile tool is capable of crimping IDEAL feed-thru, standard, shielded and unshielded connectors and includes 568A and 568B wiring schemes marked on the tool for ease of use. A major benefit of Feed-Thru plugs is that they allow the individual conductors to "feed-thru" the end-face of the connector allowing the user to verify the wires are in the correct order prior to crimping the connector. During crimping, the FT-45 cleanly shears the excess conductors and leaves a smooth, flat finish to the end face of the IDEAL Feed-Thru connector. No protrusions or small lengths of conductor remain beyond the plastic face of the connector. This minimises accidental shorting of conductors or inadvertent contact in plug jacks. Fitted with a single universal crimp cavity for RJ-45 / 8-position connectors that can be used with Feed-Thru, standard, unshielded or shielded connectors for CAT5e, CAT6 or CAT6A. No need to carry multiple tools for terminating RJ-45's. A custom, heavy duty cutting blade that stays sharp, has minimal flex and will last for over 2,000 cuts before it needs replacing. Replacement blades are available (30-4951). A patent pending mechanical design that requires only 1/3 to 1/2 the hand force of traditional tools to crimp the connector - no ratchet mechanism is needed and one handed crimping is possible. The tool is compact, 14 cm / 5 1/2 in length and weighs just over 225 grammes / 1/2lb, about half the size and weight of bulkier traditional tools so it easily fits in your pocket and lightens the tool bag load.
