These guidelines apply specifically to products purchased from our Renewables Range and should be read in conjunction with Rexel’s Standard Terms and Conditions of Sale (“Terms of Sale”).
In the event of any inconsistency between these guidelines and the Terms of Sale, the Terms of Sale shall prevail, except where these guidelines provide additional or more specific terms that supplement the general delivery charges and returns process.
All other terms governing the Customer’s purchase, including warranty provisions, liability limitations and general terms are set out in Rexel’s Terms of Sale, which can be found here.
Below are the terms for Delivery Charges:
Delivery charges may apply for deliveries, particularly for items such as solar panels, batteries, cable or other large products. Charges are determined based on weight and the standard charging matrix of the delivery service provider (e.g., UPS or SW) and may result in multiple chargers being applied.
No minimum order is required; however, larger items (e.g., solar panels) may incur additional carriage costs.
In cases of failed collections or deliveries, a fixed charge may apply.
Insurance coverage is provided up to a specified amount (e.g., £60 per package).
Refunds for late deliveries due to errors by the delivery service provider are subject to their money-back guarantee policy. Claims must be made directly to the sell branch or customer service teams in writing within 7 days.
Payments for delivery charges are due within 30 days of invoicing. Alternative payment options, such as direct debit or credit/debit card, may be available.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate information regarding delivery site access and any restrictions. Misidentification of delivery requirements may result in additional fees.
Below are the terms for handling returns:
Customers must notify Rexel of any issues within two working days of delivery. If no notification is received within this timeframe, the order will be considered delivered and accepted as correct and in working order.
Risk of loss or damage to goods passes to the buyer at the time of delivery.
Rexel is not liable for costs incurred due to damaged, late, lost, incorrect, or unwanted goods. However, Rexel will work closely with customers to resolve issues promptly, with financial liability limited to the value of the order, including delivery.
Returns must be pre-approved, and a returns ticket is required. Any returns sent without prior approval will be rejected or returned at the customer’s expense.
If goods are damaged upon delivery, the delivery must either be rejected or signed as "Damaged on Arrival," with photographic evidence provided at the point of delivery. This is essential for processing claims.
Goods found damaged after signing cannot be claimed against Rexel or the courier. Customers are advised to inspect goods carefully upon arrival.
If damage is discovered inside the manufacturer’s packaging, photographic evidence must be provided, and Rexel should be contacted immediately.
Discrepancies between the Order Confirmation and delivered goods must be reported with photographic evidence. Rexel will investigate and, if an error is confirmed, deliver the correct goods on a next-working-day basis or at the customer’s convenience.
Incorrect goods must be returned within 14 days of receiving the replacement. If the goods match the Order Confirmation, the order is deemed correct.
Customers must ensure someone is available to receive, inspect, and sign for deliveries. Failed delivery attempts due to unavailability will incur a redelivery charge, which must be paid before redelivery is attempted.
Customers should follow the manufacturer’s installation and operating instructions before reporting faults. The Manufacturer’s Technical Department can assist with troubleshooting. Returns of faulty products will not be accepted without the written authorization of the manufacturer.
Product warranties are held with the manufacturer, not Rexel. If a replacement is required urgently, customers will be charged for the replacement. Refunds depend on the manufacturer’s policy and are not guaranteed.
Unwanted goods can be returned if pre-approved by Rexel’s Returns Department. Goods must be in a resaleable condition (e.g., sealed packaging for boxed products).
Customers are responsible for returning the goods and the cost of the return, credit will be issued after inspection, minus a 20% restocking fee (or £50, whichever is greater). Delivery costs are non-refundable.
Returns must be made within 14 days of receipt. After this period, goods will not be accepted for return
Non-stock or bespoke products cannot be returned unless damaged or faulty.
Photographic evidence must include:
