Rexel UK brought together strategic suppliers, sales colleagues, VIP customers, and electrical students from Solihull College to the NEC Birmingham this month, for its first ever Rexelerate, an unforgettable two-day event setting the tone for an exciting and ambitious 2026.
The event showcased cutting-edge technology, innovation and new products from key partners, as well as showcasing its own brands, Newlec, Gigamedia & BizLine, setting the stage for an exciting year ahead. Attendees experienced the latest products and solutions that will form the backbone of Rexel UK’s comprehensive offer for 2026, reinforcing the company’s position as a leading electrical distributor.
As well as the Rexel Village, giving colleagues the chance to hear and meet internal support functions, Rexel was delighted to showcase Smart Works, a UK charity supported by the business who offer life-changing support helping women secure employment, rebuild confidence, and transform their futures, by providing free, high-quality interview outfits and one-to-one coaching sessions.
Another proud highlight of the event was the celebration of Rexel’s partnership with the English Football League (EFL), a collaboration that reflects the company’s commitment to supporting their local branch community and supporting the next generation of football stars through the Powering Dreams initiative. Football legends Clinton Morrison, Dion Dublin and Lee Hendrie, brought the house down with their legendary stories and energy.
Adding further inspiration, Paralympic Gold Medallist and motivational speaker Marc Woods delivered a powerful message about resilience, ambition and the pursuit of excellence.
“Our first Rexelerate is a moment that all of us will never forget, being able to meet with our partners in this incredible way was a brilliant opportunity to grow our relationships even further and ensure our business and customer plans for 2026 are aligned and ready to go. The energy of having all our colleagues in the same room was electric and hearing from former EFL players, Smart Works and Marc topped off what is going to be an exceptional year. It's also made us realise we need to do the same again for all of our customers, so watch this space for Rexelerate II.” Caroline Welsh, Chief Commercial Officer, Rexel UK
