Switched on in Watford
Rexel UK celebrated the grand opening of its brand-new Watford branch in style on Tuesday 21st April, welcoming customers, key suppliers and a very special guest to 16 Colonial Way, WD24 4YT.
The state-of-the-art facility, purpose-built to serve local tradespeople, contractors and commercial businesses, opened its doors for a day packed with live product demonstrations, prize giveaways, opening day discounts and plenty of networking.
The highlight of the day was an exclusive meet and greet with Watford FC legend Luther Blissett. Luther’s appearance drew a fantastic crowd and created a real buzz on the trading floor, cementing the branch’s commitment to being part of the local community, not just a place to do business.
Rexel Watford was joined by an impressive lineup of industry-leading suppliers, including Aico, Atkore, BizLine, FuseBox, Gigamedia, KSR, Luceco, Marshall Tufflex, and Schneider Electric, giving customers the chance to get hands-on with the latest products and speak directly with brand representatives.
Customers on the day had the chance to win some fantastic prizes, including Amazon vouchers, an EV charger, and a golf day, rewarding the trade community that has already shown such strong support for the new branch.
The Watford branch represents a significant investment in the region, boasting over 2,000 products in stock, same-day and next-day delivery access to the wider Rexel national network, and extended hours from 6am to 5pm, one of the earliest trade starts in the area. The branch also offers specialist capabilities including solar design and renewables, lighting design services, commercial fire safety, pre-fabrication and custom build and in-house project management.
