The final part of any fire system installation is the commissioning, where the work is reviewed and tested to ensure compliance with the mandatory standard. It’s important that the commissioning engineer is competent to carry out the work as without the commissioning certificate it is unlikely that the building is covered by insurance.
Eaton’s team of field based engineers, who can commission the fire system, have the experience and competence to state that the system complies to the installation standard BS5839-1.
Rexel have partnered with Eaton to offer commissioning* on all Eaton & Newlec Fire alarm systems. Our engineers are BAFE* qualified and come equipped with no climb solo smoke & heat testers, laptops and relevant software to program addressable systems and test all devices on a loop or zone and provide certification required under BS5839:1.
Commissioning is charged at a day rate and the number of days will depend on the location of the job and the total number of devices that is on a system, for a quotation please contact Fireservice@eaton.com
*Commissioning certificate will be provided (BAFE certification will not be provided)
